KNOXVILLE, Iowa—Mike Fisher, HIRTA driver in Knoxville, was recognized during the 2021 Iowa Public Transit Association (IPTA) Annual Meeting and Training Conference as HIRTA’s Driver of the Year.
To be considered for driver of the year, drivers must work at least 780 hours, have no fault accidents or moving violations, work at least 95% of all scheduled work, and have no documented incidents or complaints.
Fisher met and exceeded all the criteria for the recognition. Mike never misses work and has never declined to help out when needed. Most importantly he is great with customers and his co-workers and always brings a positive attitude to everything he does.
HIRTA is extremely fortunate to have Mike as part of the HIRTA team! We applaud Mike and the rest of our drivers and office staff for the hard work they’ve done this past year.
