BOONE, Iowa—The most recent drought information from the U.S. Drought Monitor was released this week and shows that severe drought conditions continue locally. Little change occurred, even with rain last week. For the City of Boone, rainfall in June was about 3.8″ below normal, even though the southern part of the county received heavy rainfall earlier this week.
