AMES, Iowa—The “I See Dead Plants” podcast, a new offering from the Iowa State University Integrated Pest Management Program, is now open to listeners interested in learning how plant science research impacts everyday life.

Ed Zaworski, plant pathologist for the plant and insect diagnostic clinic at Iowa State University, invites crop management experts each episode to share findings about plant health, discuss trends within the industry and provide advice around the significance of effective pest management. The episodes are made available through Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and are free at the Iowa State IPM Website. Periodic new releases will be added.

“I See Dead Plants” is also available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

“Our hope is to be able to break down current research in plant pest management, such that, the average person can get an idea of what research is being conducted and how they might be affected,” said Zaworski. “We also hope to mix in some historical podcasts, taking an in-depth look at large scale or significant pest management issues that have taken place throughout history.”

The program is made available through the IPM Program and receives partial sponsorship through the United States Department of Agriculture’s National Institute for Food and Agriculture.
