Luther City Council has Contested Race for Municipal Election

BOONE, Iowa—Most communities in Boone County have candidates that filed to be on the ballot in the November 2nd Municipal Election.  Besides Boone, only Luther has three candidates for two At Large Council position.  Malorie Schaller, Bob Owens and Margaret Wilczak have submitted paper work to be on the Luther Ballot.  Joe Tryon is unopposed for Mayor.

In Madrid, Lane Shaver is unopposed for the Council At Large position.  Jeff Gibbons and Marvin T. Ostrander are unopposed for the 1st and 3rd Wards respectively.

In Ogden, Denny Good is not seeking re-election but former Mayor Mark Trueblood has put his name on the ballot.  Councilmembers David Ohlson and Brian Reimers have both filed for re-election to the Council.

In Beaver, Andy Kent, Roseann Lafoon and Rodney Wenger are on the ballot to fill three At Large Council seats.

Boxholm has two candidates for two Council At Large seats, Robyn Dodson and Carrie Sue Shreve.  Pilot Mound also has two candidates for two Council At Large seats, Sharon Acuff and Donald Porter are on the ballot.

The Municipal Election will be held November 2nd.
