BOONE, Iowa—The redistricting activity will continue as counties and cities will be updating changes in their voting precincts which will be in effect for voting in November 2022. Generally the realignment at the county level does not draw the attention it gets at the state level. Auditor Diane Patrick is required to present any changes and Boone County GIS Coordinator Penny Vossler has been working with her on the update. Wednesday, they brought the information to the Boone County Supervisors. The plan is to collect public comment, if there is any, on the six rural precincts. The Supervisors will hold a public meeting and consider approval in December.
