DES MOINES, Iowa—The U.S. Drought Monitor update for this week shows once again no change in the amount of area considered to be free of drought or abnormally dry conditions. The most recent increase was in the southeast part of Iowa. Locally, conditions have not changed, a portion of eastern Boone County is considered abnormally dry and that extends into Story County.
