McCALLSBURG, Iowa—Funeral arrangements for Pamela Jean Gibbs, age 65, of McCallsburg, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 Douglas Ave, Ames.

Pam was born on October 9, 1956, in California, the daughter of Earl and Lois (Allie) Tice. She attended high school in Ames, Iowa, and later obtained her AA Degree, in Phoenix, Arizona. On January 1, 1974, she was blessed with her only child, Jason.

Pam was united in marriage to Paul “Corky” Gibbs on December 25, 1989, at En Canto Park in Phoenix, Arizona. They made their home in Arizona for a number of years, before moving back to Iowa in 1992.

She was a crocheting fanatic, and was a crafty person in general and had recently taken up the skill of painting and photography. Pam enjoyed camping, spending time with all her pets and her grand fur babies. Christmas was a very special time for her and brought out her decorating skills.

Pam is survived by her husband of 42 years, Paul “Corky” Gibbs of McCallsburg, Iowa; son, Jason (Jessica) Tice of Lexington, Kentucky; siblings, Don (Barb) Tice of Ames, Iowa, Linda Swett of Phoenix, Arizona, Donna (Mitchell) McCarl of Ankeny and Laurie (Ronald) Cohrs of Boone; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Chelsea Tice.
