BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Hospital is excited to make some updates to the main floor of the Hospital. It’s been over 20 years since we opened the new wing of the Hospital. The new has become dated and worn, so it’s time to refresh!
The update will include painting the walls, new flooring and new waiting room furniture (the furniture will not be here until early this summer) in the Emergency Room (ER) Waiting Area, Atrium and Same Day Surgery (SDS) Waiting Area. Included in the update will be the following areas:
- ER Waiting Room and hallway down to the Atrium
- Atrium from the front door to the north window
- SDS Waiting Room
- Gifts Galore
- Cafeteria eating area
- “Green mile” hall from the Atrium down to the Physical Therapy and Surgery clinic entrances.
Areas will be closed off periodically throughout the project, and employees, patients and visitors will be rerouted beginning January 26th. The rerouting will not be ideal, but it’s necessary to get the different areas done. We will have signs and volunteers to greet and direct you.
