BOONE, Iowa—Rain has delayed the re-opening of a couple of streets in Boone. The intersection of South Linn and Union was removed in preparation for replacement. Public works did have time to address some infrastructure but the completed project is being delayed by the weather.
Weather has also extended the closure on West 8th street where utilities were put in place for the Boone School District’s construction project. Underground work is completed, but the street repair and reopening is being delayed until the end of this week. The Boone School District’s building project will be the new Futures and Home School Assistance building.
Additionally, Boone Public Works will be rerouting traffic in the 100 Block of Monona Street for a sewer repair project which is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
