We are excited to welcome Cole Corson, as our Head Girls Basketball Coach at Boone High School.
Coach Corson joins us from Glidden-Ralston, where he has served as the Head Girls Basketball Coach
for the past 7 seasons. In addition to his 12 years of basketball coaching experience, Coach Corson has
contributed to the Wildcat program as a golf coach, football coach, and has served 10 years as the
district’s Head Baseball Coach. While at Glidden, coach Corson compiled a 100-56 record.
Cole has a degree in business administration from AIB and an education degree from Western Governors
University in Salt Lake City, UT. He got his start as an educator in his hometown of Coon Rapids-Bayard
as a paraeducator, and has taught students in grades 4-12 at Glidden-Ralston in various subjects. Most
recently, he taught elementary for 5 years and moved to Business at the high school last year. Cole
recently accepted an elementary teaching position in Madrid, and looks forward to moving with his wife
Lesley and 2 small children (Gracie and Beau) to the Boone Community.
A committee including returning players, BHS coaches, parents, and administrators was impressed with
his prepared vision, and felt that Coach Corson would be a good fit for our basketball program. Cole is
ready to invest in the continued growth of Boone Basketball. He brings a great work ethic and basketball
mind to Boone. Coach Corson exhibits a strong knowledge-base and passion for the game of basketball,
and will be a great partner to the Boone Basketball Club.
We welcome Cole and his family to the Toreador Community. Roll ‘Dors!
