BOONE, Iowa—Larry Dean Halupnick, son of Leonard and Ardell (Stacker) Halupnick, was born April 12, 1942 on the family farm in Traer, Iowa. Larry passed away at his daughter Teresa’s home with his family by his side on Friday, June 10, 2022 at the age of 80 years.
Larry grew up in Traer, Iowa and graduated from Traer High School and then went on to graduate from the University of Northern Iowa. Larry was married and to this union he had two daughters, Julie and Jodie. On September 20, 1969, Larry was united in marriage to Pauline Bergloff at a small church in Galena, Illinois. They were the proud parents of their daughter Teresa. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Traer, Iowa.
Larry was preceded in death by his grandson John Boyer. He is survived by his wife Pauline of Boone, IA; daughters: Teresa (Bob) Boyer of Woodward, IA, Julie (Brent) Foster of Overland Park, KS, and Jodie Roettger of Parkville, MO; grandchildren: Ben Ostlund, Kari Boyer, Tiffany Thuney, Megan (Jake) Bass all of Boone, IA, Johnathon Roettger of Dysart, IA, Beau Foster and Brooke Foster both of Overland Park, KS; 12 great grandchildren; two sisters: Joan Stavely of Albuquerque, NM and Shirly Austin of Traer, IA; five nieces; three nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone with Pastor John Pea officiating. The family would like to invite everyone to the First Presbyterian Church for a time of lunch and fellowship following the graveside service at Linwood Park.
