Donna Wolfgram

WEBSTER CITY, Iowa—Donna Wolfgram, 95, of Webster City died Friday, August 26, 2022 at Windsor Manor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Luncheon will follow in the Parish Center and burial will be at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Clarion at 1:30 p.m. A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 4:00 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary to begin at 6:45 p.m. followed by a scripture service.

Donna Loretta Corkery, daughter of John and Marjorie (Blessington) Corkery, was born April 17, 1927 on the family farm near Sumner, Iowa. She graduated from Sumner High and continued her education at Mount Mercy College where she received her teaching degree. On August 9, 1948, Donna was united in marriage to Marvel “Marv” G. Wolfgram in Sumner. She taught school for two years before starting her family. She was a secretary for her husband’s State Farm Insurance Agency in Webster City. After retiring in 1985, the couple moved to Lake Cornelia and Clarion before moving back to Webster City in 2007.

She is survived by her children, Ruth Kampe of Clinton, Louis (Kathy) Wolfgram of Boone, Teresa (Maynard Melchert) Wilcox of Ogden, Mary (Paul) Lindahl of Boone, Paul (Rita) Wolfgram of Webster City, Gene (Debbie) Wolfgram of Plano, TX, Joe (Dodie) Wolfgram of Webster City; daughter-in-law, Jill Wolfgram of Loveland, CO; son-in-law, Harold Kampe of Fulton, IL; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and sister, Sister Mary Corkery of Cedar Rapids.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Marv in 2011; her parents, daughter and son-in-law, Beth, and Dale Hill; son, David Wolfgram; son-in-law, Don Wilcox; granddaughter, Sarah Wolfgram; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret, and Tom Murphy; brother and sister-in-law, Robert, and Loretta Corkery.

She was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church involved with the funeral committee and Catholic Daughters. Donna was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, making Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls, fishing, gardening, and canning. In lieu, of flowers memorials may be left to the family’s discretion.
