BOONE, Iowa—The public is invited to attend this celebration that includes tours of Brianna and Hazel Rohde’s efficient new house. Special presentations will be made and refreshments will be served. Receiving keys to their new house will highlight the day for the Rohde family.
As with all Habitat for Humanity partner families, the Rohde’s will pay for their home through a zero-interest mortgage. Their affordable monthly payments will help provide the same opportunity for additional partner families in coming years.
Healthy, efficient and affordable housing was something the Rohde family couldn’t even imagine while living in South Sudan. Through the efforts of local Habitat volunteers and financial supporters, their dream has become reality.
The entire community is invited to celebrate with the Rohde family by attending the dedication of their new family home on Sunday, December 18, 1:30 p.m. at 525 12th St in Boone.
Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit Christian ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard and poverty housing. All persons are welcome as partner families and volunteers regardless of religious beliefs or affiliations.
