DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service office in Des Moines has provided updated information about some of the expectations for this week’s winter storm. Blizzard conditions, extreme cold and strong winds are expected across the state. Snow is expected to begin Wednesday, followed by extreme cold and strong winds Thursday into Friday night.
