BOONE, Iowa—Tisha (Koenig) Porter, age 39 of Boone, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 24, 2023.

Born Tisha Mae Medearis on September 23, 1983 in Des Moines, the daughter of Pamela Medearis. She was adopted by Thomas and Jane (Riley) Koenig and raised in Boone. She attended from Boone High School.

Tisha was united in marriage with Benjamin Porter on August 1, 2017 becoming a large blended family. Tisha’s children were her world. She was a devoted and active mom, always running them to all their activities and spending time with them.

Tisha was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Boone. She loved listening to country music, camping and going on vacation. Tisha had a sparkling personality and would lend a hand to those in need around her.

Tisha was preceded in death by her adopted parents, Tom and Jane Koenig. She is survived by her husband, Ben; children, Joshua Holman, Collin Holman, Madison Holman, Gavin Holman, Makenzie Holman and Brooklynn Porter; mother, Pamela Risdal; sister, Jasmine Koenig; along with numerous relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, April 7, 2023 at the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at the Church of the Nazarene in Boone. Cremation will take place following Tisha’s services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel and made payable to Benjamin Porter, for Tisha’s children.
