BOONE, Iowa—The Boone Fire Department does regular training and usually each year is able to secure the Interior Fire Attack Simulator from the Fire Service Training Bureau to help with advanced responses. In the past the simulator has been located on the east side of City Hall, but this year, set up is located in the municipal parking lots at 9th and Green Streets. Training begins Monday evening and will continue throughout the week. The Fire Department will be closing down 9th Street, between Keeler and Greene Streets for training purposes.
