BOONE, Iowa—It’s a busy season at the Ledges State Park now that summer’s in full swing. Park Manager Andy Bartlett says great progress was made on the railing project this week on Old Indian Trail. A crew from Iowa Prison Industries helped last Wednesday morning to move logs, stones and other material up the steep slope of the trail. The Ledges work crew then finished setting the posts and started attaching the first of the railings.

Bartlett also says they will be celebrating “Christmas in July” over the July 14-16 weekend. And, he says, with the 3 month rolling window for reservations continuing to roll along, they are now booking out into October already!
