BOONE, Iowa—This week’s information from the U.S. Drought Monitor and the National Weather Service shows that the entire state of Iowa is in some form of drought. The biggest share of the state is in Moderate Drought with Severe Drought the next most prevalent. Boone County continues to be Abnormally Dry, except for Moderate Drought in the extreme northwest corner of the county, west of Boxholm. The map was developed by the U.S. Drought Monitor, the National Weather Service and the USDA.
