BOONE, Iowa—On May 1st, a stand off between a 45 year old Stratford man and Boone Police, the Boone County Sheriff’s Department and the Iowa State Patrol resulted in a house fire that spread to other buildings at 1306 College Street. Michael Craig Glynn was eventually taken into custody on multiple charges and last week was found guilty on multiple counts by a Boone County jury. The Boone County Attorney Matthew Speers office has released a brief summary on the Boone County Attorney’s Facebook page.
The release indicates that Glynn was found guilty on charges of 1st Degree Arson, Reckless Use of Fire, being a Prohibited Person in Possession of Ammunition and Burglary. Sentencing will be held at a later date.
