BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Attorney Matthew Speers office releases a summary of court cases involved the County Attorney’s office each week. This week the report includes the sentencing of 45 year old Michael Craig Glynn of Stratford, Iowa. A jury had previously returned guilty verdicts on multiple charges including 1st Degree Arson, a Class B Felony; Possession of Ammunition and Third Degree Burglary, both Class D Felonies as a Habitual Offender. The charges stemmed from an incident in Boone, on May 1st that resulted in a police stand-off and a home being burnt down. The court sentenced Glynn to a total of 55-years in prison.
