Council to Consider Kate’s Landing Site Plan Monday

Posted on 16 September 2023 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—Preliminary plans have been seen, but the first formal Site Plan and Storm Water Plan for Kate’s Landing Subdivision will come to the Boone City Council Monday evening. The site plan is being submitted by Lee Chamberlin Consultant Engineers on behalf of Kading Development. The proposal does include 128 single story cottage style units consisting of 6-plex, 4-plex and duplex residences. The property will also contain two storm water detention and retention areas for control of storm water runoff. The site is just over 15 acres, currently owned by the City of Boone and has already been rezoned to accommodate the building of multi-family residential homes, contingent on Kading Development being the developer. Access would be from South Marion Street and roads within the subdivision would be installed and maintained by the developer. All recommendations from Planning and Zoning and City Staff have been to approve the plan.

The shaded area is the proposed location of Kate’s Landing.
