DES MOINES, Iowa—The National Weather Service office in Des Moines has released updated information about the potential for severe weather impacting much of Iowa on Saturday afternoon and evening. The primary threats of large hail, damaging wind gusts, and frequent lightning. Locally heavy rainfall and a tornado or two (especially west) are also possible.
