BOONE, Iowa—Boone Fire Fighters respond to a fire at Midland Power Cooperative at 2005 South Story Street Thursday afternoon. The fire appears to be in the warehouse storage building constructed a couple of years ago, located south of the Midlands Main Office building.
Midland Power has posted this statement about this afternoon’s fire:
This afternoon we had a fire at our Boone warehouse adjacent to our administrative office. Thankfully, the building was unoccupied at the time and all employees are safe and accounted for. The administrative office was undamaged.
We thank the Boone and Ogden Fire Departments for their rapid responses. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
