BOONE, Iowa—The Boone City Council took time Monday to recognize Swan Creek Cabinetry, especially for the work put on on refinishing and upgrading the large horseshoe shaped desk in the City Council Chamber. Mayor John Slight said not only are they a long time local business and employer, but they did an exceptional job on upgrading the original desk. He said refinishing the desk was part of a plan to upgrade the city hall facilities including rest rooms and the upstairs auditorium.
