BOONE, Iowa—Voters in Ogden selected a new member to the City Council while returning two incumbents. Lori Anderson received 257 votes and Margaret Liston had 226 votes to return to the Ogden City Council and they will be joined by Aaron Crane who received 176 votes. Mark Swanson was fourth in the race with 157 votes. there were three positions on the Council up for election.
Ogden Mayor Mark Trueblood was unopposed for another two-year term and received 358 votes.
The Ogden School Board race was hotly contested with eight candidates for three positions. incumbents Pete Thomsen and Matt Van Sickle led the way with 368 and 303 votes respectively. Third in the race was Earl D. Taylor with 259 votes. He was followed closely by incumbent Leda Burton with 236 votes. Caylon Schwiebert received 203 votes, Susan Kallem had 178, Chris Dominick had 149, and Aaron Crane received 138 votes.
These election results are unofficial until canvassed by the Boone County Supervisors next week.
