BOONE, Iowa—Unofficial election results from the Boone County Auditor’s office have Eli Stines winning the three-way race for Mayor in Boone. Stines picked up 41% of the vote, receiving 1,226 votes. He was followed by Tracy Anderson with 33% of the vote and 995 votes. Denny Hamman was third with just over 25% of the vote with 761 votes. 2,982 votes were cast in the mayors race.
The 4th Ward City Council race featured incumbent Terry Moorman who was challenged by Patrick Shaw. Moorman received 245 votes and Shaw 182.
The uncontested council races had Kyle Angstrom running unopposed for the Council At-Large seat. He received 2,213 votes. In the 2nd Ward, Cory Henson was running to fill the seat he was appoint to earlier this year, filling the unexpired term with 486 votes.
All results are unofficial until canvassed by the Boone County Supervisor next week.
