BOONE, Iowa—Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity will be building a new home in Ogden in 2024. Aspen Castell and her two young children have been chosen as this year’s partner family. This will be Heart of Iowa’s 32nd home build since 1996.
Aspen is a single mother, is employed full-time by Primary Health Care in Ames and is also working toward a medical management degree in her spare time. She is “eager to provide a solid foundation for her family, while working harder to benefit those in her community.” She is a native of Ogden and looks forward to raising her family in the community in which she grew up.
Aspen and her friends and family will be required to provide 350 hours of “sweat equity” and to repay a no interest mortgage.
Heart of Iowa Habitat is delighted to partner with Aspen and her young family and is thankful for the contributions and support of the Boone, Greene and Guthrie County area.
