LOGAN, Iowa—Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) launched his second annual Feenstra Agriculture Tour to meet with Iowa farmers, producers, and the agricultural community about the need to pass a strong Farm Bill for Iowa.
“Agriculture is the economic engine of our rural communities in Iowa. That’s why, last year, I made nearly 30 stops on my first-ever agriculture tour to hear directly from our farmers and producers about the need to lower inflation, open new export markets, defend our farms from foreign animal disease, and ban China from buying American farmland. We also spoke in depth about the upcoming Farm Bill reauthorization and my work to strengthen crop insurance, invest in precision agriculture technologies, expand rural broadband, and hold federal bureaucrats accountable for land grabs like WOTUS,” said Rep. Feenstra. “I’m relaunching my Feenstra Agriculture Tour again because we need to bring Iowa’s voice to Congress and ensure that our agricultural community has a seat at the table when the Farm Bill is written and passed. From repealing the death tax to supporting the next generation of farmers, I will take my conversations with Iowans back to Congress and deliver for agriculture. As the strongest voice for agriculture in Congress, I will continue to work on both the House Agriculture Committee and the House Ways and Means Committee to lower taxes for our producers, stand up to China, and keep our agricultural economy strong.”
Feenstra will launch his tour with the Harrison County Farm Bureau over coffee in Logan. He will then host a Farm Bill town hall with local farmers and producers in Treynor.
