BOONE, Iowa—The Committee established last year to consider potential programs and services for a recreational complex held an Open House Thursday afternoon to allow for public input on potential sites for a project. The three primary areas identified were in Northeast Boone in the Lowell Park area, on the East Central Side of the city the Cap Erbe Park area and the third on property South of U.S. 30 in the area near the Midland Power offices. It appeared early on that those attending had a preference for the East Central site in the area of Cap Erbe Park.

The Committee is expected to present the information that’s been collected and present it to the City Council. The Council will need to decide what steps if any they should take to move forward with a project.
