BOONE, Iowa—Boone County Hospital’s (BCH) Senior Life Solutions (SLS) Program, has been named the 2023 Rookie Site of the Year, by Psychiatric Medical Care, which manages the program.
BCH’s Senior Life Solutions Program supports the unique needs of individuals, typically 65 and older, experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief and other mental health challenges that are often associated with aging. Program staff include a board-certified psychiatrist, a licensed therapist, a registered nurse, and other trained professionals to ensure each patient receives the best possible care.
“Jordan and I are honored to be recognized for the work we have done in the first year of being a part of Boone County Hospital Senior Life Solutions,” says Heidi Kennedy, SLS Program Director. “We have been welcomed and supported by BCH and we are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a great organization. Along with the support of Bailey Schwark, Psychiatric Medical Care (PMC) Regional Director, we have grown so much. Thank you PMC for such a great honor.”
Families, friends, community members, physicians, self-referrals, or other health professionals can refer people to the program.
