BOONE, Iowa—Hannelore Bugger, lovingly known as Lori, passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2024, at the age of 85 in Boone, IA.

Born on Sept 30, 1938, in Bremerhaven Germany, Lori lived a full and vibrant life. In 1962, Lori married Percy “Pete” Bugger and the two of them were married for 46 years until Pete’s passing in 2007. As a military family, Lori, Pete, and their children resided on multiple Air Force bases across Europe and the United States before settling in Boone in 1985.

Lori was a devoted homemaker, who took immense pride in caring for her family. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Lori also loved attending her children and grandchildren’s extracurricular events. Lori was a kind and generous soul who always put others before herself. Her family and friends will remember her warm smile, her gentle nature, and her unwavering love.

Lori is survived by her five children: Gary (Kathy), Patricia (Dan), Brigitte (Sam), Jennifer (Jay) and Timothy Bugger, 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Per her wishes, Lori will be cremated with no funeral services.
