Kahookele Takes Oath During Council Meeting

BOONE, Iowa—Lisa Kahookele took the Oath of Office during Monday night’s Boone City Council meeting and will complete the unexpired term as the 3rd Ward Councilmember on the Boone City Council. The seat previously held by Mayor Eli Stines. Kahookele won the Special Election to fill the vacancy earlier this month.

Out Door Piano Makes Return to Downtown Boone

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone Outdoor Piano is back downtown after extensive work by Chuck Behm. The piano is nothing like the original and has been weather proofed as much as possible. The piano was moved to the Book Shoppe at 817 Story Street to start the season.
