BOONE, Iowa—Sandra “Sandy” Kay Wisecup, 75, of Boone, IA, went peacefully at her home on May 29, 2024. Per her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no services.

Sandy was born May 1, 1949, to Ronald and Bernice (Davis) Shadle. She was one of six children. In 1999, she retired from employment at Iowa State University. In years following retirement, Sandy enjoyed time with her grandchildren, quilting, crocheting, tending to her garden, flowers, and yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Sandy is survived by her daughter, Cindy Flugstad (Denny Bock); son, Gary Wisecup; granddaughters and their families, Ashely Beary (Jeremy and Katelyn Beary), Cassie Bunning (Cody, Baylee, and Tate Bunning), Jessica Huffman (Cody, Macee Wisecup and Clinton Huffman); a sister, Karen (Donovan) Howe; one brother, Hollie Shadle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
