BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Sheriff’s Department has released information on an injury accident reported about Monday morning, south of Ogden on Highway 169. The report from the investigating deputy indicated that 35 year old Cordarrell Deering of Des Moines was turning onto Highway 169 from a private driveway when he was struck by a second vehicle operated by 44 year old Elmer Ordonez Martinez of Perry. Deering was taken to the Boone County Hospital by ambulance for treatment of his injuries. He was cited by the investigating deputy with Failure to Yield the Right of Way. Martinez was not apparently injured. The accident occurred about 6:00 a.m. on Monday.
