Council to Consider Rezoning for Daisy Project

Posted on 18 August 2024 by KWBG

BOONE, Iowa—The Boone City Council will be taking the next step on the proposed Daisy Project to be located on the southeast side of the city. The current location is zoned A-1 for agricultural purposed and the request would change it to an M-4 or a general industrial usage. M-4 zoning already extends into the R.L. Fisher Business Park. The Daisy location is directly east of the business park. There are two parcels of land that would be rezoned. Daisy will have a third parcel of property that will be voluntarily annexed to the city and will be zoned M-4 when that occurs.

The City’s Plan and Zoning Commission met last week and have recommended the Council proceed with rezoning the property.
