Robin Krause

FRASER, Iowa—Robin Krause, 68, of Fraser, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024, at his home. Cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Robin’s Life will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 572 Kale Road, Boone, IA. Drive your classic car, for those that have them.

Robin was born March 22, 1956, in Menominee, MI, the son of Albert Louis, Sr. and Violet Lillian (Plansky) Krause. He graduated from Boxholm High School.

Robin was employed at Archway in Boone for most of his career, before independently owning and operating his own carpentry/contracting business. He built the first Jimmy John’s in the area, with two of them in Ames. Robin used his skills to help family and friends with odd jobs as well. He loved everything about old cars, from restoring them, to just looking at them in magazines and attending numerous car shows.

Robin enjoyed traveling up north to Michigan, Wisconsin, and the Upper Peninsula – visiting family, and traveling across the country with his brother and family. Most of all, he loved his children, grandchildren, niece/nephew’s children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jonathan Krause; four brothers, Larry, Ron, Rick and Al, Jr.

Robin is survived by his daughter, Jodi Krause and her partner, Trent; son, Jacob (Micaela) Krause; four grandchildren, Carson, Aiden, Aivah, and Axton; three sisters, Joanna, Ruth, and June; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall Streets in Boone. Online condolences may be left to Robin’s family at www.schroedermemorialchapel.com.
