BOONE, Iowa—Even with the heat and rain chances early this week, work continues to try and complete the second phase of the Story Street Mill and Overlay project. This week, the 9th Street crossing was blocked off and work began on the Decorative Concrete crosswalks. The intersections at 7th and 8th Streets were completed last week. Street painting will begin this week as weather permits. Diagonal parking will be put in place on the west side of Story Street between 6th and 7th Streets and on the east side from 7th Street to 9th Streets. Parallel parking will remain on the east side of Story Street between 6th and 7th Streets and on the west side of Story Street between 7th and 9th Streets. Work continues on the 3rd Phase between 9th Street and 11th Street.
