BOONE, Iowa—It didn’t take long once painting crews got started to get work done on Story Street, at least from Mamie Eisenhower Avenue to 9th Street. Quite a few crosswalks and parking places were also painted in other areas around downtown.

On Story Street, drivers will notice that turning lanes downtown have not been included. That’s because of the diagonal parking that’s now located on the east side of Story Street between 7th Street and 9th Street. There is also diagonal parking between 6th and 7th Streets on the west side of Story Street.
