Treehouse Village Officially Opens at Iowa Arboretum

MADRID, Iowa—The Iowa Arboretum has finally been able to have the ribbon cut and will officially open the newest destination location in Central Iowa, the Adele and Dean Bowden Treehouse Village. Mark Schneider, Executive Director, welcomed guests, Board Members, staff and volunteers to the formal ribbon cutting Wednesday morning. Schneider said it was over four years ago he sat down with some of the Arboretum board members, talked about their Master Plan and focused on a project that would attract families and especially younger families to the Arboretum.

Mark Schneider, Executive Director, Iowa Arboretum likened the Treehouse Village to running a marathon with several steps to reach success.

Dean Bowden is joined by several family members including a great-grandson cut the ribbon for the Adele and Dean Bowden Treehouse Village at the Iowa Arboretum.
