Tigers struggle in volleyball meets

A triangular volleyball meet was held in Madrid on Tuesday, Sept. 9. The Tigers struggled and fell to Audubon, 5-21, 13-21, and Glidden-Ralston, 6-21, 11-21. 

Against Audubon, sophomore Iyla Fine led the Tiger defense with 6 digs.  

Fine also lead the team at the service line, going 3-3. Freshman Caia Byriel was 2-2 with an ace, and freshman Savannah Bradley was 2-2. 

Bradley recorded 2 kills against the Wheelers as junior Samantha Springer had 1 assist. 

Against Glidden-Ralston, Springer had 2 kills while Fine was 4 for 4 from the service line. 

Defensively, sophomore Paige Richards and Springer recorded 7 digs each. 

The losses dropped the Tigers to 0-4 overall. The Tigers face West Central (Maynard) and Cedar Valley Christian (Cedar Rapids) school tonight.
