Ogden could not secure a home-field advantage as the Bulldogs hosted Perry Friday, Sept. 13. The teams were tied, 6-6, at the half, but Perry scored 17 unanswered points in the second half to defeat Ogden, 23-6.
The Bluejays improved their record to 2-1 as the Bulldogs fell to 0-3.
Junior CeJay Jones went 6 for 17 on passing and finished with 77 yards.
Junior Cayden Dudley 24 carries for 120 yards and 1 touchdown, while freshman Tyler Lass had 8 carries for 20 yards.
Lass recorded 3 receptions for 54 yards. Dudley had 2 receptions for 12 yards, and Freshman Nate Swisher ended with 1 carry for 11 yards.
For the defense, junior Carson Muggenberg led the way with 10 tackles. Sophomore Landon Alexander had 5 tackles with 1 tackle for loss and 1 sack.
Ogden (0-3) travels to Saydel High School to face Grand View Christian (3-0) on Friday, Sept. 20 in the district opener.
