BOONE, Iowa—The Boone County Historical Society is bringing back it’s Scholar Program with a Sunday presentation by Dr. Rollie Schafer on the Dragoons and in particular Nathan Boone and the Dragoons. The Sunday afternoon presentation begins and 1:00 and is free in the lower level of the History Center. Schafer has been involved in Dragoon Re-enactments and has a number of items that will be displayed on the Historical Center. Schafer talks more about the presentation and what’s on display on the KWBG News/Public Affairs program “Tuned In” Friday morning on KWBG FM 101.5, AM 1590 and on the live stream, kwbglive.com.
