Wicker motors Madrid past Martensdale-St. Mary’s

The Class A No. 6 Madrid football team cruised to a 48-0 victory at Martensdale-St. Mary’s Friday, Sept. 6. The Tigers improved their record to 1-1. Senior quarterback Preston Wicker led the way for Madrid. He led the offense with 126 passing yards, going 5 for 5 with 4 touchdowns. Boone football wins big over Storm Lake

A big first half led the Boone football team to a 48-6 victory over Storm Lake Friday, Sept. 6. The Toreadors scored 41 points in the first half of its home opener and improved to 2-0. Junior quarterback Jude Baumgardner had 138 passing yards, completed 6 of 9 passes and rushed for 16 yards.
