BOONE, Iowa—Mary Jane Maynard, 86, of Bryant, Alabama, and formerly of Boone, died Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Erlanger Baroness Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

A visitation will be from 1:00 to 1:45 PM Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Schroeder-Reimers Memorial Chapel, 1006 6th Street. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM in Linwood Park Cemetery, Boone.

Born on July 8, 1938, to the late Marion and Mary Jane Mishler, Mary Jane was raised with a deep commitment for the Lord and desire to serve others.

Mary Jane had a true passion for flowers, gardening, crocheting and working with porcelain dolls. She was a member of the Bryant Ruritan Club. Mary Jane also enjoyed volunteering at the Senior Center in Bryant.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Maynard; sons, Jeffrey and Bob Maynard; parents, Marion and Mary Jane Mishler; and sister, Irene Maske.

Mary Jane is survived by her children, son and wife, Marion and Gelyn Maynard of Cleveland, Tennessee; daughter and husband, Cindy and Terry Pattarozzi of Summerville, Georgia; daughter and husband, Mary and David Sherlin of Bryant, Alabama; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Bob Mishler of Eldon, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
