The Ogden girls wrestling team opened its season at South Tama Thursday, November 21.
Grace Hammer placed 2nd at 190 pounds for the Bulldogs.
She won by fall over Karsyn Wolf of Meskwaki Settlement, won by fall over Jahzarah Ward of Grinnell and won by fall over Ella Goedken of West Delaware.
In the first place match, Hammer lost by fall to Libby Dix of Mount Vernon.
Rylin Casey placed 3rd at 100 pounds.
She won by fall over Hannah Weets of Vinton-Shellsburg then lost by fall to Livia Smith of South Tama.
Then she lost by fall to Addison Schulte of West Delaware and won by fall to Alexis Sexton of Benton.
Sydney King competed at 115 pounds, and Hannah Wells competed at 155 pounds for Ogden at South Tama.
Teams at the meet were Ogden, Meskwaki Settlement, Brooklyn-Guernsey-Malcom, Grinnell, Aplington-Parkersburg, Solon, South Tama, Ackley-Geneva-Wellsburg-Steamboat Rock and Benton (Van Horne).
The Bulldogs wrestle at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 23, at the Central Iowa Kickoff Tournament in Nevada.
