Eli Stines, Boone Mayor, talks about the Boone City Council meeting held Monday, November 18th. Stines talked about the public hearings and actions taken by the Council to adopt the Southwest Boone Housing Urban Renewal Plan and an associated Development Agreement for the construction of 53 single family homes. He also talked about the series of contracts with SEH Engineering for projects at both the water and waste water plants and for the design of the extended Hancock Drive to serve the Daisy location. Madrid falls to West Hancock in state semi-final

The Madrid football team had a rematch of last year’s Class A semi-final game as it faced West Hancock Friday, November 14, at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls. The outcome was similar as the Eagles again topped the Tigers, 50-35.
