The Madrid boys’ basketball teams continued their winning ways with an 82-39 victory over Pleasantville Tuesday, December 10, in Madrid in West Central Conference play.
The Tigers started with a 23-15 lead after the 1st quarter and were up 45-21 at the half.
Madrid increased the lead to 68-35 after the 3rd quarter and ended up with an 82-39 victory.
The Tigers were led by Toryn Severson who had 25 points on 9 field goals, 5 3-pointers and 2 free throws.
Brody Buck added at points on 8 field goals, 2 3-pointers and 1 free throw.
Jevyn Severson had 17 points on 8 field goals and 1 free throw.
Emerson Bridgewater contributed 6 assists, and Fabian Ortiz-Alaniz and Toryn Severson had 4 assists each.
For the Madrid defense, Buck had 8 rebounds and 7 steals.
Jevyn Severson has 7 rebounds and 2 steals, while Bridgewater had 6 rebounds and 1 block.
Madrid improves its record to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference while Pleasantville is 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
Next the Tigers face Woodward-Granger (0-3) at 7:30 p.m. Friday, December 13, at Woodward.
