Madrid girls lose to Pleasantville

The Madrid girls’ basketball team lost a West Central Conference game to Pleasantville, 46-16, Tuesday, December 10, in Madrid. 

Laura Eagleton led the Tigers with 5 points on 2 field goals and 1 3-pointer. 

Samantha Springer had 4 points on 1 field goal and 2 free throws and 1 assist, and Jillian Olmstead had 4 points on 2 field goals. 

For the defense, Eagleton had 12 rebounds and 1 steal. 

In addition, Lauren Dvorak had 7 rebounds and 1 steal, and Olmstead had 5 rebounds and 2 steals. 

The loss drops Madrid to 2-3 overall and 0-2 in the conference, and Pleasantville is 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the conference. 

Next Madrid faces Woodward-Granger (3-2) at 6 p.m. Friday, December 13, at Woodward.  

The game will be broadcast on KWBG AM 1590, FM 101.5, kwbglive.com with sports director Ryan Wendt on the call.
