The Madrid boys’ basketball team topped West Fork, 82-46, on Thursday, December 19, in Madrid.
The Tigers raced off to a 23-9 lead after the 1st quarter and were up 45-24 at the half.
Madrid extended its lead to 65-37 after the 3rd quarter and ended up winning, 82-46.
Brody Buck led the offense with 21 points on 9 field goals, 1 3-pointer and 2 free throws.
Fabian Ortiz-Alaniz had 17 points on 3 3-pointers and 2 free throws.
Toryn Severson had 16 points on 5 3-pointers and 4 free throws, and Jevyn Severson also had 16 points on 7 field goals and 2 free throws.
Emerson Bridgewater led the team in assists with 6, while Buck and Ortiz-Alaniz had 4 each.
For the defense, Jevyn Severson had 13 rebounds and 1 steal, and Bridgewater grabbed 11 rebounds and 3 steals.
Buck had 7 rebounds and 4 steals, and Toryn Severson ended with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Madrid improves to 7-0 overall and West Fork fell to 2-2.
The Tigers host West Central Conference opponent West Central Valley (1-5) at 7:30 p.m. tonight.
