The Madrid boys’ basketball team hit the century mark against West Central Valley and defeated the Wildcats, 100-26, on Friday, December 20, in Madrid in West Central Conference play.
The Tigers led, 25-7, after the 1st quarter and were up, 66-12, at the half.
Madrid continued to pour in points and were ahead, 88-22, at the end of the 3rd quarter and ended the game, 100-26.
Toryn Severson led the way with 32 points on 11 field goals, 6 3-pointers and 4 free throws.
Jevyn Severson had 17 points on 8 field goals and 1 free throw.
Fabian Ortiz-Alaniz added 15 points on 5 3-pointers.
Brody Buck dished out 12 assists and Ortiz-Alaniz and Emerson Bridgewater contributed 5 each.
For the Tiger defense, Bridgewater grabbed 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
Buck added 3 rebounds and 7 steals, and Logan Klatt had 3 rebounds and 1 steal.
Madrid enters holiday break 8-0 overall and 5-0 in the conference.
West Central Valley falls to 1-6 overall and 0-5 in the conference.
The Tigers return to action as they host Ogden at 7:30 p.m. Friday, January 3, in Madrid.
